RENU SAML Service Provider

Service Status

✓ Apache HTTPS and Shibboleth Service Provider are running.

This server is configured as a SAML Service Provider (SP) participating in the RENU federation environment.

About This Service

The Shibboleth Service Provider enables secure single sign-on access using SAML-based authentication. Users authenticate through a trusted Identity Provider (IdP) and gain access to protected applications without maintaining separate local accounts.

This implementation supports federated identity management, allowing participating institutions to securely exchange authentication and authorization information.

Protected Resource

The protected area below requires federated authentication. Access will redirect users to the configured Identity Provider for login.

Federation Workflow

1. User requests access to a protected application.
2. Shibboleth Service Provider redirects the user to the Identity Provider.
3. The Identity Provider authenticates the user.
4. SAML assertions are securely returned to the Service Provider.
5. User receives access based on approved attributes and policies.
